EarlyMid 20th Century Cast Stone Garden Chairs, (suggested as Coade Stone ?)
I have 3 used, (but very good condition), period 'Stone Garden Chairs' for sale, (one is pictured).
The stone garden chairs listed here were previously advertised as:
'Chair Antique Garden Coade Stone':, and,
'Pair Of Antique Coade Stone Garden Chairs';
However, I have not been able to confirm the 'Coade Stone' connection, but they are certainly very handsome items in their own right. (They may be Italian imports?)
They are likely a early-mid 20th century 'cast stone', though they do have a feel and ring to them of pottery, that also looks like stone, (which is more akin to Coade stone), However, Coade's high quality manufacturing is world renowned, and their products always carried their makers mark. The chair listed here carries no mark, and is more than likely a clever cast stone item, and not Coade.
Notwithstanding, they are very ornate and are well made, and should suit, and add to the prospect of any garden setting.
Needless to say, they are 'all-weather' durable.
I was told, when I purchased them, they had come from the gardens of 'The Egyptian House' in Penzance, Cornwall. They were being removed after the remodeling of the gardens and grounds.
