Engelbert Endrass was a German submarine commander during World War II. He commanded U-46 and U-567, sinking 22 ships in ten patrols for a total of 118,528 gross register tons of Allied shipping, allegedly the 23rd most senior submarine commander during World War II. Awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves of Nazi Germany. At the time of its presentation to Endrass, it was Germany's highest military decoration.
